Bernard Brandewiede was born on November 21, 1961 in Damme/Germany. After completing vocational training as a technical illustrator and getting his engineering degree from the Technical College of Osnabrück, Bernard Brandewiede worked for Dräger Medical in various capacities between 1985 and 2002, of which 15 years in management.

His most recent position there was Director, Product Marketing, Emergency Medicine, and On-Ward Technical Equipment. Between 2002 and 2004, Bernard Brandewiede was Director of Product Marketing and Quality Management at Varigon AG. Some of his foremost qualifications are in the field of TQM; he is a certified TQM Assessor and BEST Reviewer.
